🌟 Exciting News for Darlington Kinship Connect

We are proud to share that Darlington Kinship Connect has been awarded £14,560 from the National Lottery Community Fund.

This funding will make a huge difference to kinship families in Darlington.

It allows us to cover the essential costs of running and growing our service, including:

Room, venue, and office hire – creating safe and welcoming spaces for carers and children

IT equipment – laptop and printer to support day-to-day work and communication

Advertising, marketing, and website – making sure local families know we are here for them

Stationery and ink – keeping resources and information accessible

Two promotional events – to connect with the community and celebrate kinship care

Professional services – including supervised contact sessions where needed

Therapy sessions – specialist support for families referred to us

Counselling and mental health support – giving carers and children the help they deserve

Toys and equipment for family sessions – making groups fun, safe, and engaging for children

Thanks to National Lottery players, we can continue building a strong and supportive community for kinship carers and the children they raise.

11/09/2025: Thanks to the generous support of the National Lottery Community Fund, Darlington Kinship Connect is delighted to announce that we have secured dedicated office space at Redhall Community Centre, starting October 2025.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Redhall Community Centre Association and DVCSSS for their invaluable support in helping us establish this new base. This marks an important step forward in strengthening our services and community presence.
